SUMMARY

Enabling the co-creation of a Social Co-operating System

capable of supporting Waves of Coordinated Action

around High Impact Solutions

to bring about Social and Environmental Wellbeing.

Vision

  • To co-create a “Co-operating System” and social utility capable of organising and supporting people in waves of coordinated transformative action, adapting and replicating solutions that already demonstrate high social and environmental impact.
  • We already have the solutions and they are being demonstrated by entrepreneurs throughout the world. We aim to support people to discover, adapt, co-create and replicate these high impact and breakthrough solutions, creating huge waves of transformative action.

Core Activities & Benefits to Members

  • Research the most effective tools and methodologies to support members deliver their mission.
  • Support training and implementation of the most effective tools and methodologies.
  • Provide capacity to support waves of coordinated action around proven solutions.
  • Raise funds through multi-tiered memberships, impact investment, contracts and grant funding.

Challenges

  • Silo working: Socially and ecologically focused organisations exist in every area throughout the world but largely operate in silo. They lack the capacity, technologies and methodologies to work effectively together to maximise and multiply their impact.
  • Scaling solutions: The solutions already exist but societies lack a framework for them to be discovered, adapted and replicated in every locality globally.

Biomimicry

Earth Co-op’s new social co-operating system is inspired by the self organising capability of the human body. Our own DNA contains templates for proteins that make up a healthy body. Earth Co-op will compile Earth DNA, templates for projects required to sustain the health and wellbeing of all life on the planet, and provide the social organising infrastructure to replicate and scale the projects globally.

Why

To respond to a growing number of pressing global issues such as climate change, air/soil/water/ocean pollution and biodiversity loss that pose an increasing threat to sustaining life on Earth.
